Sub zero SUP session

Post 24 of 32

The winter has really hit Denmark and we have had the lowest temperatures in 5 years with down to almost -17 in the night.  So it’s been kind of hard getting out to play in the ocean.  But on the right day, it’s still fine to get out and catch some waves.  Today the wind eased off, so it was possible to take the SUP out.  It was – 5 so I wore thick gloves, but after a while the paddle started to become really hard to grip around.  At first I blamed it on the thick gloves, but then I realised there was a layer of ice on it!  Despite that, it wasn’t really that cold, and you could easily stay out for a couple of hours.  Still I’m glad milder weather is on the way, so I’m hoping for some windsurf sessions ahead!
